Twinlab Emulsified Norwegian Cod Liver Oil, Lemon, 12-Ounce Bottle
I tried a little bit of it on its own. . . it has a lemon taste, but be realistic when you order it. It doesn’t taste like lemon candy. It’s not an oily liquid either like I expected; it’s more of a gloopy, thick yellow goo. I mixed two tablespoons into a cup of milk and took it down in one gulp so I wouldn’t have to taste it too much. It’s not at all offensive, but definitely not delicious.
According to the label, a serving is one tablespoon. So each container contains only 24 servings. If you take the two servings/day recommendation, then the bottle will only last you 12 days; two bottles 24 days. That’s not even a month. Plan ahead. If you don’t use alot of cod liver oil, the expiration date on mine is for more than a year from today (August 2010). The bottle’s plastic, so it won’t break if you drop it. . .
Of the 60 calories/serving, only 40 come from fat. The label lists water as the main ingredient. A tablespoon of pure cod liver oil has 120 calories.
For this price though, it really can’t be beat.

I prefer liquid Cod Liver Oil. The lemon flavor is a not too sweet.
