The Weight Loss Triad: A Comprehensive Guide To Lasting Weight Loss
Dr. Halton has written a surprisingly simple and effective book that yields results. I know because I’ve been sending my clients to Tom for 8 years now and have seen his teachings work first hand. This book is a fast read, full of nuggets, backed by science and almost 15 years of hands on experience (don’t let his humbleness fool you). If you want to lose weight, keep it off and reduce your risks for heart disease, cancer, diabetes and various other diseases then buy this book and use it. You’ll be glad you did and you can say you bought this book before he was on Oprah. He’s that good and so is the book.

I met the author several years ago and subsequently utilized his personal training services. At that time, I began to incorporate Dr. Halton’s plan to modify my dietary habits on faith – no questions asked. The changes I experienced through a consistent regimen of cardio, weights, and especially this new way of eating were remarkable. I was in my late 30s and within 3 months time, was in the best shape of my life & feeling better than ever.
All of this occurred for me ‘prior’ to the writing of this book. Now that it is in print, I am able to utilize it as a quick reference to keep me on track. It also makes it easy for me to convey to friends and family how I achieved my goals. Great bang for the buck.
This book is simple and effective. Cliché for a review I know. . . but that’s the way I see (and feel) it. Stay true to this plan and simply “be well”. : )

Our personal trainer tried this program, lost 15 lbs. , and recommended her clients try it. The book is an easy read, and the program is simple. We’ve been on it for a few months and find that losing weight doesn’t mean giving up alot of food. It’s not about hunger and deprivation. It’s about eating the right foods. We are eating better, feeling healthy, and have not had the flu or a cold. The most important thing for me is cutting out the sugar and therefore the inflammation. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to lose weight.

This was an excellent, straight foward approach to diet and exercise that can lead to sustainable weight loss. The principles behind the triad are medically sound, and I will recommend this book to my own patients.
