I read all 18 reviews. Funny how all of them praise the book but none give too many details of what this diet is exactly about. They are written as to create an interest in the book and make you buy it even if you may not find the concept behind it logical. I wonder if they have been written by real people.

And after you have read this or hopefully BEFORE you waste your time and money you can read “The Leptin Diet” – a book written by real nutritionists that explains the true science behind why 3/meals day is the best protocol, why you get “cravings” and go on “binges”, why snacking is bad, why you shouldn’t eat within 3 hours of going to bed, and other facts based on research and science. Oh, and I almost forgot – why “binging” days (no matter what term is used to make it sound wonderful like “S” days, “cheating” day, “Up” days) are not advisable.

Those “S” days are still going to kill you, just a little bit slower. If you still need to binge and satisfy all your cravings on your “cheat” day – then you haven’t actually changed your lifestyle at all, have you? That is somewhat like a heroin addict convincing himself its okay if he just shoots up twice/week or an alcoholic just “having one drink. . . “. Why not go all the way and develop REAL willpower and discipline? Cheat days are just a psychological ploy for weaklings.

  3. The idea seems like a good one but I had a hard time not snacking during the week. To me, it felt like deprivation. So, it felt like every other diet that I have been on. I did it for a week and didn’t lose any weight and it was hard.

This book, like 99,9% of diet books, relies on catchy names and cute phrases to promote itself. However, like most other diet books it relies on the biggest weight loss myth ever.

    So what is the myth?

It is the widely held belief that calories do not count or are of only minor importance when it comes to weight loss. Make no mistake: If you wish to lose weight, calories are everything! To successfully lose weight, you must burn more calories in a given time period than you take in, no matter what diet you are following.

Despite this, diet authors commonly advise us to forget about counting calories! No wonder most people fail dismally in their weight loss efforts!

You can follow NOSdiet’s rules to the T but if there is no calorie deficit, you won’t lose weight.

If you don’t know what calories you are burning and what calories you are consuming, it’s very difficult, if not impossible to create a calorie deficit.

Creating a calorie deficit with NOS, is like spitting on a swinging jug.

The NOSdiet rules cannot supersede the laws of physics, no matter what the author or his followers claim.

My recommendation, determine from one of the numerous BMR calculators online your calorie needs and consume sufficient calories to create a daily 500 calorie deficit. As you lose weight, adjust the numbers. This system guarantees a weight loss.
