  1. Great handbook for the fitness newcomer. This book covers all the bases and is jam packed with helpful tips for motivation. It shows you how healthy nutrition and exercise can fit into even the busiest of lifestyles. Uses a common sense approach and incorporates many pictures to help you understand the exercises and stretches. Complete with exercise programs, meal plans, how to shop for healthy foods, and demystifies all the common exercise myths to keep you on track.

Even though this is targeted towards enterpreneurs, this also applies to anyone who has a busy life and doesn’t feel they are able to put the time aside to take care of themselves, and wind up letting themselves go. Ways to battle the bulge by following a 6 week menu plan by giving you the option of the fast food drive thru or a homemade lunch, exercises that keep your blood pumping throughout the day, motivations, myths, and also info that can apply to people who take road trips and need something to eat. The info is laid out so you don’t feel like you’re going through an encyclopedia to get the info you need, or feel overwhelmed. The book is one of the best I’ve read on the subject of fitness and nutrition in one place.

This book dose not teach you anything new. It just talks about basic fitness and nutrition advice that has been out there for many years.

From the outside, running your own business seems like a dream come true: Be your own boss, make your own schedule, and choose your own destiny. It really is great but it is a lot of heard work too. Most of us believe that in order to stay afloat you need to be a workaholic, which most of us are.

Unfortunately though, long stressful hours, quick meals grabbed on the go, and little or no real exercise eventually catches up to all of us. One day we realize that we are getting tired faster, our patience level is way too short, and our waists have grown faster than our profits.

The Entrepreneur Diet seeks to help the business person with their unique needs. First, and most importantly, we need to realize that taking time to exercise, eat right, and relieve stress is an investment. If we are healthy, happy, and relaxed we will get more done, far more efficiently. Second, this text gives us ideas on how to exercise in ways that actually suit a hectic schedule.

Despite that this book is aimed specifically towards entrepreneurs, I would recommend it to anyone whose life is chaotic. We all could use a reminder that taking time to take care of ourselves actually makes us more efficient and happy individuals. Plus, some of the desk exercises are quite handy and easy to do anytime.

  5. In “The Entrepeneur’s Diet” Tom Weede interviewed a bunch of phenomenally successful men and women and found out how they were able to fit exercise and proper nutrition into their busy schedules. These are people who need a ton of energy and to always be on their game. You would be surprised how much diet and exercise plays a part. Besides the really interesting first-person advice, Weede (who has a bunch of fitness credentials) also provides solid workout and nutrition programs. I really enjoyed this book. It had the info and inspiration all in one package.
